CHARACTER RETENTION

We recently completed a character retention project in the desirable Kitsilano neighborhood of Vancouver. Designed to preserve the home’s original footprint and timeless architectural aesthetic, this transformation involved lifting the entire house from its foundation and reinforcing all walls and ceilings with structural steel to support an added basement suite and a laneway house.

While the interior finishes were completely stripped down to bare studs for a modern interior overhaul, our team meticulously salvaged and restored key exterior heritage features, including original windows, doors, and cladding, seamlessly blending historical character with modern stability and functionality.
